Lilac Campsite
After an early morning breakfast our guide will pick you up at from your hotel and head to the Tarangire National Park. Along the way you will enjoy a morning game drive and a boxed lunch. Later in the day you will arrive at the lilac camp site where you will settle in, enjoy
dinner and then turn in for the night to prepare for the amazing adventure ahead of you.
After breakfast you will drive to the Serengeti National Park, enjoying the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. Leaving the highlands behind, you will enter into the heart of wild Africa, the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains rolling into the distance, as far as the eye can see. You will head to the central area of the park, known as the Seronera, one of the richest wildlife habitats. In this part of the park you will visit the Seronera River which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. You will arrive in time for lunch and afterwards, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Later in the day you will have dinner and your overnight stay in the Seronera Camp [nguchiro camp site].
On this day you will wake up early, have a cup of coffee and take off for a sunrise morning game until the late morning. You will then return to the campsite for brunch. After your meal you will check out and take off on an exciting game drive in the Serengeti later driving to the Ngorongoro Crater. You will check in and enjoy dinner and your overnight stay at the Ngorongoro Simba Campsite.
After early breakfast, you will descend down the crater which is almost 600m deep.
The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down the into the ngorongoro Crater an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands. Later in the day you will ascend back up the crater and head to the camp site for dinner and overnight.
Following breakfast, you’ll check out and embark on an exhilarating game drive in Lake Manyara National Park with a packed lunch. The park spans a vast area, bordered by the Great Rift Valley, featuring a forest beyond the park gate and hot springs to the west. Encounter iconic wildlife, including the renowned tree-climbing lions, buffalo, giraffe, hippo and lively baboon troops. Witness the elegance of pink flamingos, ostriches, Egyptian geese and more.
After a picnic lunch, engage in an afternoon game drive, followed by a visit to a Maasai Village to immerse yourself in their unique activities and culture. As evening falls, return to Arusha, marking the conclusion of your safari adventure.
