Trip Itinerary

Day 1:

Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your Safari Under the Sky driver-guide. During the transfer to your hotel in Arusha, you’ll get your first glimpse of Tanzanian life, passing locals and small shops. If the weather is clear, you may even spot the majestic peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

You will arrive at the hotel with ample time to check in, relax, and settle in after your journey. The evening is yours to unwind, perhaps with a stroll around the hotel grounds, before enjoying dinner and resting for the adventure that begins tomorrow.

Day 2: Tarangire

After an early breakfast, you depart with a packed lunch for Tarangire National Park. This park is renowned for its impressive herds of elephants and landscapes dotted with ancient, medieval baobab trees. The Tarangire River acts as a lifeline, attracting a dense concentration of wildlife.

You will spend the day on game drives along the river, searching for zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and various antelope species. Predators like lions and leopards are also present. After a picnic lunch, you’ll continue exploring before driving to your accommodation in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Day 5: Serengeti

This full day is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti. You may opt for an unforgettable hot air balloon safari at dawn (extra cost), culminating with a champagne breakfast in the bush. The Serengeti is home to all the Big Five and, depending on the season, you may witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration.

Your guide will tailor the day’s drives to find the best wildlife sightings, whether it’s a pride of lions, a stealthy leopard, or massive herds. You’ll return to camp for lunch and head out again in the afternoon, ending the day with a beautiful sunset on the plains.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you depart the Serengeti for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, for a spectacular final game drive.

This natural amphitheater supports an astonishing concentration of animals, including the rare black rhino. You will enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. After an unforgettable morning, you ascend the crater rim in the afternoon and begin your journey back to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight.

  • Balance: Due 60 days before departure.
  • If booking is made within 60 days of departure, full payment is due immediately.

  • Reservations are not secured until the deposit is received.
