Begin your safari adventure with a morning transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled bush flight to the spectacular Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival at the airstrip, your professional safari guide will welcome you and begin your first exciting game drive through the endless savannah plains. Keep your camera ready as you may encounter zebras, wildebeests, elephants, giraffes, and predators such as lions and cheetahs shortly after landing. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush while surrounded by breathtaking African landscapes and abundant wildlife. Continue exploring different habitats and wildlife-rich areas before driving to Kontiki Serengeti Camp for check-in. After an early breakfast at Kontiki Serengeti Camp, depart for a full-day game drive across the vast plains of the Serengeti. Early mornings offer the best opportunity to witness predators in action as lions, leopards, and hyenas return from their nighttime hunts. Your guide will take you to wildlife hotspots where large herds of wildebeests, buffaloes, antelopes, and elephants roam freely. Depending on the season, you may also witness parts of the famous Great Migration crossing the plains in dramatic numbers. Stop at scenic picnic sites for lunch while enjoying uninterrupted views of the wilderness. In the afternoon, continue exploring riverbanks and kopjes where big cats often rest. Return to camp before sunset for dinner, relaxation around the campfire, and another peaceful overnight surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive when the Serengeti is most active and the golden morning light creates perfect photography opportunities. Search for elusive wildlife including leopards resting in acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the plains, and large elephant families moving through the grasslands. After breakfast, continue with a relaxed mid-morning safari while learning about the ecosystem, animal behavior, and conservation efforts from your experienced guide. Later in the day, enjoy an optional cultural interaction with the local Maasai community where you can discover traditional customs, dances, and lifestyle practices that have existed for generations alongside wildlife. Enjoy your final morning in the Serengeti with an early breakfast followed by a short game drive on route to the airstrip. This last safari experience offers another chance to spot animals you may have missed earlier, including hippos, crocodiles, or large cat species preparing for the day ahead. The cool morning hours are ideal for wildlife viewing and photography, making for a memorable conclusion to your safari. After the game drive, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel or residence.
