Day 1

Tarangire

Day 1:

Tarangire

We will pick you up at the airport in Arusha in the morning around 9 am. After a short welcome, we set off to Tarangire National Park, which we reach after about 2 hours of driving. The park is famous for having the largest elephant population in the country and is known for its ancient majestic baobab trees. Until sunset, you will be on a game drive and keep an eye out for the wildlife in this unique landscape. When the sun goes down, the first nocturnal park inhabitants gradually appear. For dinner and overnight stay, we reach the Bougainvillea Kankari Lodge in Karatu in the early evening.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

Early in the morning you drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which we reach after a short drive through still cloudy mountain forests. Nowhere in Africa is there  a greater chance of seeing all the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and rhinos) in one place than here. At lunchtime, you can refuel with a warm lunch in the hippo pool picnic area, instead of cold chicken thighs from a cardboard box. In the afternoon, you will return to Arusha. Your safari guide will make sure you catch your return flight to Zanzibar in time.

Payment Terms

  1. With the binding booking confirmation, the customer will be informed of the bank details of TANGER SAFARIS, including the payment details. Due to local requirements in the destination country, TANGER SAFARIS maintains a bank account on a US-$ basis. Accordingly, the invoice amount shown in the customer invoice is also in US Dollars.
  2. After conclusion of the contract, an immediate down payment of 50% of the invoice amount is due. Decisive for this is the receipt of payment within 5 working days on the account of TANGER SAFARIS.
  3. The final payment is due 30 days before the start of the trip, provided that the trip can no longer be cancelled for the reason stated in § 9. If there are less than 30 days between booking and the start of the trip, the total price is due for payment immediately. Also in this case, the payment must be received within 5 working days on the account of TANGER SAFARIS.
  4. If the customer does not pay the deposit and/or the final payment in accordance with the agreed payment due dates, TANGER SAFARIS is entitled to withdraw from the travel contract without prior warning and to charge the customer with cancellation costs in accordance with § 6.

Cancellation Policy

http://Withdrawal by the customer before the start of the trip/cancellation costs The customer can withdraw from the trip at any time before the start of the trip. The withdrawal must be declared to TANGER SAFARIS in writing by email. If the customer withdraws from the contract, TANGER SAFARIS loses the right to the agreed travel price. However, TANGER SAFARIS may demand reasonable compensation. The amount of the compensation is determined according to the travel price after deduction of the value of the expenses saved by TANGER SAFARIS. The compensation will be calculated according to the date of receipt of the customer’s declaration of withdrawal as follows: up to the 30th day before departure 30%, from the 29th to the 15th day before departure 50%, from the 14th to the 7th day before departure 60%, from the 6th to one day before departure 90%, from the day of departure or in case of no-show 100% of the travel price. TANGER SAFARIS reserves the right to demand a higher, concrete compensation in deviation from the above lump sums. TANGER SAFARIS may not claim compensation if unavoidable, extraordinary circumstances occur at or in the immediate vicinity of the destination which significantly affect the execution of the journey or the transport of persons to the place of destination.
