Depart Arusha/Kilimanjaro airport for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive baobab trees and some of Africa’s largest elephant populations. Upon arrival, begin a full-day game drive across golden savannah dotted with acacia woodland. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife year-round, offering sightings of elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, buffalo, and predators such as lions and leopards. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with afternoon wildlife viewing.
Enjoy an early breakfast before driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders. The crater floor hosts a dense concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, and the rare black rhino. Stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo pool while admiring breathtaking scenery. In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and proceed to Karatu in your lodge for dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge – Karatu.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Begin your game drive through forested areas where baboons and blue monkeys are commonly seen.The park is famous for its rare tree-climbing lions and seasonal flocks of flamingos along the lakeshore. Expect sightings of elephants, hippos, giraffes, and buffalo. Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to Arusha/ Kilimanjaro airport in the late afternoon, concluding your memorable safari experience.
