This 5-day safari through Tanzania’s iconic parks promises an unforgettable journey into some of Africa’s most renowned wildlife areas. Starting in Tarangire National Park, guests are greeted by sprawling landscapes dotted with towering baobabs and large elephant herds. The safari then ventures into the vast plains of the Serengeti, where wildlife is abundant and sightings of the Big Five are likely. Depending on the time of year, travelers may also witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration. The journey concludes at the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, where diverse ecosystems support a rich variety of animals, including the rare black rhino. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, guests are welcomed and transferred to their hotel in Arusha. The safari begins with an early departure from Arusha, heading to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and striking baobab trees. A full day of game drives offers opportunities to spot diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. The park’s unique landscape, marked by the Tarangire River, attracts animals year-round, making for excellent wildlife viewing and photography. By evening, guests will settle into their lodge or camp near the park, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
After breakfast, the journey continues toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. Arriving by mid-day, guests will begin exploring the park’s expansive plains, famed for their stunning landscapes and extraordinary wildlife. Game drives throughout the day provide opportunities to see the Big Five, along with cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and countless other animals. Depending on the season, travelers might even witness the Great Migration as vast herds of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains. As the sun sets, guests head to their accommodation within or near the park, immersing themselves in the Serengeti’s wilderness atmosphere for the night.
Today focuses on the heart of the Serengeti—Serengeti Central, or the Seronera region—renowned for its rich wildlife density and year-round predator activity. Morning and afternoon game drives reveal a landscape teeming with lions, leopards, elephants, and countless antelope species. The Seronera River, winding through this area, attracts animals throughout the day, providing excellent opportunities for observing predator-prey interactions up close. After an action-packed day of wildlife viewing and memorable photography moments, guests return to their accommodation in the Serengeti for a final night in this world-famous park.
On the final day, guests depart early for Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the vast caldera for a half-day game drive in this unique and biodiverse setting. Known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the crater hosts a dense population of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and the rare black rhino. Flamingos and other waterbirds line the soda lakes, adding color to the landscape. After an unforgettable morning, the journey continues back to Arusha, where guests can relax before catching their departure flights or continuing onward to new adventures in Tanzania.
