Your Tanzanian adventure begins as you touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where a Licaon safaris representative will warmly welcome you. You’ll be transferred directly to the bustling safari hub of Arusha, an essential gateway city nestled in the foothills of Mount Meru. This day is designed for you to relax, recover from your travels, and acclimate to the new time zone, building anticipation for the wilderness explorations to come.
Your accommodation for this first night is the Kahawa House, a luxury lodge that provides a stylish and comfortable introduction to Tanzanian hospitality. Meals today are at your own expense, giving you the flexibility to dine at the lodge or explore one of Arusha’s local restaurants as you prepare for the incredible journey ahead.
After breakfast, your expert guide will collect you for the scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is named for the life-giving Tarangire River, the region’s sole water source in the dry season, which attracts spectacular concentrations of wildlife. Your full-day game drive places you among famous herds of elephants, graceful giraffes, and a stunning array of birds—Tarangire boasts more breeding bird species than any other place on the planet, all set against a dramatic backdrop of thousand-year-old baobab trees.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a site within the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild. As the afternoon wanes, you’ll exit Tarangire and journey to the verdant highlands near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your home for the night is the Ngorongoro Farm House, a luxury lodge where you can enjoy dinner and reflect on the day’s sightings of elephants and ancient trees.
Today presents a double highlight. After breakfast, you’ll drive into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for your first glimpse of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a vast caldera formed from a collapsed volcano millions of years ago. Descending the steep walls to the crater floor, you enter a self-contained “Lost World” teeming with wildlife, offering one of Africa’s best chances to spot the endangered black rhino amidst dense populations of zebra, wildebeest, and predators.
Following an unforgettable exploration of the crater’s diverse habitats, you will ascend and continue your journey westward. You’ll transit through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, entering the legendary Serengeti National Park from the south. Your destination is the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, a premier safari lodge situated in the heart of the Central Serengeti, where you’ll settle in for a night under the vast African sky.
Awake in the iconic Serengeti, a landscape of vast grasslands that has remained largely unchanged for millennia. Today is dedicated to exploring this spectacular ecosystem, famous for the annual Great Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra. Your guide will know exactly where to find the herds and the predators that follow them, offering you thrilling opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, and leopards in their natural environment.
After a full morning of game drives and a relaxing lunch, you’ll begin your scenic journey back east across the Serengeti and Ngorongoro highlands in the afternoon. The drive itself offers more wildlife viewing and breathtaking vistas. Your overnight accommodation will be Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, you will enjoy a last dinner amidst the cool highland air.
On your final safari day, you’ll explore the compact yet incredibly diverse Lake Manyara National Park. Nestled at the base of the towering Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park’s namesake alkaline lake attracts thousands of flamingos and other waterbirds. Your game drive will take you through lush evergreen forest, where you might spot troops of baboons and elephants, all while keeping a keen eye on the acacia trees for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch within the park, savoring your last moments in the Tanzanian wilderness. In the afternoon, you’ll bid a fond farewell to your guide and begin your transfer back to Arusha. You will be dropped off at your preferred location—a hotel in Arusha, Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), or Arusha Airport (ARK)—bringing an unforgettable “Best of Tanzania” luxury safari to a close.

Any trip cancellations must be sent in writing to the office that confirmed the reservation. Cancellations shall only be effective from the date of receipt of cancellation by the booking office. In case of a booking cancellation, the Company shall retain the full deposit.
