Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be warmly greeted by your Licaon Tours & Safaris representative. After a brief introduction to your safari experience, you’ll be transferred to the vibrant town of Arusha, nestled in the shadow of Mount Meru. As you make your way to the hotel, take in the stunning landscape of northern Tanzania, including distant views of lush coffee plantations and mountain ranges.
Upon arrival at Kibo Palace Hotel, check in and relax after your long journey. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, offering a mix of local and international dishes.

ResetAfter a hearty breakfast at the hotel, prepare for your first safari adventure. You’ll be driven to Tarangire National Park, famous for its sprawling savannahs, majestic baobab trees, and large herds of elephants. Enjoy a boxed lunch en route and arrive at the park in time for an exciting afternoon game drive.
As you venture deeper into the park, expect to encounter massive herds of elephants—one of Tarangire’s most iconic features—along with zebras, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. The park’s seasonal swamps and the meandering Tarangire River attract a wealth of wildlife, especially during the dry season. Keep an eye out for the predators that follow the herds, such as lions and leopards.
After an exciting day, arrive at Tarangire Safari Lodge, which offers panoramic views over the park. Enjoy a relaxing evening at the lodge, dining under the stars.

Today, you’ll experience a full day of uninterrupted game drives in the Central Serengeti, one of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife regions. After breakfast at the camp, set out in search of the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. Serengeti’s endless plains offer some of the best wildlife viewing on the continent, and you may witness thrilling predator-prey interactions, especially during the Great Migration season when millions of wildebeest and zebras traverse the landscape.
Your guide will take you to prime locations to observe prides of lions, clans of hyenas, and grazing herds of antelope, impala, and topi. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the midst of the park’s rugged beauty before continuing your exploration.
Return to Serengeti Katikati Camp for another evening under the stars, where the campfire and dinner await.

Reset30th September 2022: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration
After breakfast at the camp, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The scenic drive will take approximately three hours. Along the way, you’ll pass through stunning landscapes, from the open plains of Serengeti to the highland forests of Ngorongoro.
Upon reaching the crater, descend 600 meters to its floor, where a diverse ecosystem supports a wide range of wildlife. The crater is home to black rhinos, elephants, and large populations of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. You’ll also encounter the unusual sight of flamingos and hippos in the crater’s lakes and swamps.
After a rewarding day of game viewing, you’ll ascend the crater walls and head to Tloma Lodge, located near the park gate, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by gardens and farmland.
