Your premium Tanzanian adventure begins upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where your driver-guide will provide a warm welcome. During the transfer to your upscale hotel in Arusha, you’ll get your first glimpse of local life. If the weather is clear, you may be treated to stunning views of the majestic snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. You will arrive at the Four Points by Sheraton with ample time for a relaxed check-in and to settle in after your journey. The evening is yours to unwind at your leisure, perhaps enjoying the hotel’s amenities before dinner and a restful night, preparing for the adventure ahead.
After breakfast, you depart for the scenic Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. This compact park boasts remarkable diversity, from its groundwater forests teeming with blue monkeys and baboons to the alkaline lake that attracts thousands of flamingos. Your game drive will focus on searching for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, elephants, and giraffes. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site near a hot spring. After breakfast, you embark on a scenic journey towards the legendary Serengeti National Park. Upon entering the Serengeti, you are greeted by the iconic, endless golden plains. You will arrive at the authentic Kubukubu Tented Lodge in the central Seronera region for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll head out for your first game drive along the life-giving Seronera River, a magnet for wildlife, returning to camp as the sun sets over the savanna for a classic bush dinner.
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the boundless wonders of the Serengeti. You may choose an unforgettable optional hot-air balloon safari at dawn, culminating with a champagne breakfast in the bush. After a morning meal at camp, your guide will lead you on a full-day game drive, navigating diverse habitats in search of the Big Five, cheetahs, and hyenas. You’ll return to camp for lunch and a short rest before venturing out again. After an early breakfast, you depart the Serengeti for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most spectacular natural wonders. This natural amphitheater is teeming with over 120 mammal species, including the rare black rhino, and features a high density of predators. You will enjoy a full morning of game viewing on the crater floor, with a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. After a leisurely final breakfast in the highlands, you will begin your journey back to Arusha. This scenic drive is your last opportunity to soak in the beautiful Tanzanian landscape. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant and have some time to relax and reflect on your incredible safari adventure. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward departure flight, marking the end of your comprehensive 6-day premium Tanzanian safari.
