Your Tanzanian adventure begins with a warm welcome at the airport, where a Lion King Adventures representative will greet you. You’ll be transferred directly to your stylish accommodation in Arusha, the essential gateway city to the northern safari parks. This day is yours to relax, recover from your travels, and soak in the first impressions of Tanzania. Depending on your arrival time, you can unwind at your lodge and start preparing for the incredible wilderness experience that awaits.
Your first night is spent at Kahawa House, a luxury lodge offering comfort and tranquility. Meals today are at your own expense, giving you the flexibility to dine at the lodge or explore one of Arusha’s local restaurants as you settle in and anticipate the journey ahead.
After breakfast, your expert guide will collect you for the scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is named for the life-giving Tarangire River, the region’s sole water source in the dry season, which attracts spectacular wildlife concentrations. Your full-day game drive places you among famous herds of elephants, graceful giraffes, and a stunning array of birds—Tarangire boasts more breeding bird species than anywhere else on the planet, all set against a dramatic backdrop of thousand-year-old baobab trees.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site within the park, surrounded by nature’s soundtrack. As the afternoon light casts long shadows, you’ll exit Tarangire and travel to the verdant highlands near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will spend the night at Ngorongoro Farm House, a luxury retreat where you can enjoy dinner and reflect on your first day among Tanzania’s gentle giants.
After breakfast, you’ll journey westward, ascending into the cooler, misty highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll have the opportunity to stop at a viewpoint for a breathtaking panoramic look into the Ngorongoro Crater, a tantalizing preview of the wonder you’ll explore later. The drive then continues as you transit through the conservation area and descend onto the legendary golden grasslands of the Serengeti National Park.
A key feature of this tour is its flexible accommodation in the Serengeti. While the itinerary indicates the Central Serengeti, your specific camp location for the next three nights will be chosen based on the real-time location of the Great Migration herds, ensuring you are in the best possible position for wildlife viewing. You will spend the next three nights at the luxurious Nyota Luxury Camp or a similar migration-focused camp.
Awake in one of the world’s most iconic wildernesses for a full day of exploration. With your private guide and vehicle, you have the freedom to follow the wildlife across the vast plains. The Serengeti is renowned for its abundant resident wildlife, including buffalo, hippo, crocodile, and impala, but the day’s focus will be guided by the movement of the Great Migration and the predators that follow it.

The day is flexible, allowing for patient wildlife viewing, photography during the beautiful golden light, and a picnic lunch in a scenic location. Your third day in the Serengeti offers a chance to experience the ecosystem at a more relaxed, immersive pace. You may choose an early morning game drive when predators are most active, returning to camp for a leisurely breakfast and time to relax. Later, you can venture out again for an afternoon drive as the landscape is bathed in a beautiful golden hue.

Enjoy a final Serengeti sunrise before breakfast and begin your journey east. The drive back through the Ngorongoro Highlands is scenic, offering a last look at the plains. Your destination is the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll then make the thrilling descent down the steep, forested walls into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, a natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife.
Your game drive on the crater floor is a quest for the Big Five, with one of Africa’s best chances to spot the endangered black rhino. You’ll explore diverse habitats, from open grasslands to acacia woodlands and flamingo-lined soda lakes. After a full afternoon of exploration, you’ll ascend the crater and return to the Ngorongoro Farm House for your overnight stay. Please note that meals today are at your own expense.
On your final safari day, you’ll explore the diverse and beautiful Lake Manyara National Park. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, this compact park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and flocks of flamingos on its alkaline lake. Your game drive through the lush groundwater forest and along the lakeshore offers a chance to spot elephants, giraffes, and hippos in a stunning, condensed setting.
Following your game drive and a picnic lunch within the park, you’ll begin your journey back to Arusha. You will be dropped off at your preferred location—a hotel in the city, Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), or Arusha Airport (ARK)—marking the end of your epic seven-day luxury safari in pursuit of the Great Migration.

Deposits & Payments
To secure your journey with Ultimate Serengeti, a 15% deposit is required at the time of booking. This allows us to confirm your reservations and begin preparing every detail of your safari experience. Payment instructions will be shared via email.
The remaining balance is due no later than six (6) weeks before your tour begins. For bookings made within six weeks of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking. All payments to Ultimate Serengeti must be made free of bank fees or credit card processing charges.
Booking Agreement
Your booking is confirmed once Ultimate Serengeti has received the required deposit and issued written confirmation of your reservation.
The guest making the booking must be 18 years of age or older and agrees to provide accurate and complete information as requested to finalize arrangements. When booking on behalf of additional guests, the person confirming the reservation confirms that:
If you need to cancel your tour, please notify Ultimate Serengeti in writing as soon as possible. As significant preparations and commitments are made in advance, cancellation fees will apply per guest to cover unrecoverable costs, as outlined below:

Cancellation fees are calculated based on the date written notice is received by Ultimate Serengeti.
Ultimate Serengeti does not provide travel insurance. Clients are therefore required to obtain comprehensive travel insurance in their country of residence. At a minimum, coverage must include medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, and repatriation.
It is strongly recommended that clients also secure insurance covering trip cancellation and any additional costs that may arise from loss, damage, injury, delay, or other unforeseen inconveniences. When purchasing travel insurance, clients must inform their insurer of the nature of the travel and activities involved to ensure appropriate coverage for participation in the tour.
